Winter Meeting elections (December 5th, 2017)
Apply by sending an email to board [at] phd.ths.kth.se before December 4th 23:59 with the following content:
1) Name
2) Contact information (email and phone)
3) School and department information
4) Specify which position you are applying for.
5) Short summary of why you would like to apply for such position (50-100 words).
6) List relevant previous experiences. For example with PhD representation work such as PAD representative, local school PhD board member, etc.
We are looking for the following candidates:
Treasurer (nominations: closed)
The PhD Chapter Treasurer is a Board Member in charge of the economy of the chapter. Accounting regards a typical nonprofit organization with no obligations to report anything else to Skatteverket other than the sole closing balance totals. So, a binder with receipts must be collected and provisional and closing balances done at least on Excel files for audit purposes. Read more here on the PhD Chapter Board.

The PhD Chapter Web and Communication Manager is in charge of the external mass communication channels of the PhD Chapter. Namely, PhD Chapter website (dr.kth.se), Facebook pages and groups, Twitter, LinkedIn and newsletters. The communication strategy for the year is decided together with the PhD Chapter Board. The Vice Standard Bearer represents the PhD Chapter at academic ceremonies from KTH. Nominating Committee Members (nominations: closed)
The Nominating Committee is in charge of recruiting and evaluating the PhD Chapter candidates for all the open positions to be elected at the PhD Chapter Meeting. The tasks include planning for the recruitment strategy together with the PhD Chapter Board, interviewing suitable candidates and presenting the evaluation to the PhD Chapter Meeting prior to the elections.
